Sourpatch LIVE

The folks over at POP SONG ROMANCE who've also filmed the Lovely Eggs and Eux Autres recently posted this up and I figured I'd share it. If you haven't pre-ordered your Sourpatch "Crushin'" CD or LP then you should watch this video then go to the HHBTM website and order one for yourself and one for a friend.

Cars Can Be Blue NEW NEW NEW

Cars Can Be Blue are currently hard at work on their next album. To hold you over for a bit I found this video for "Do You Remember?" from their debut album All the Stuff We Do. Our friend David who made the "Eyeballs" video made this video from found footage, but I had no idea he had even done this.

Eux Autres

Not sure how many of the folks who visit the blog are also on the Eux Autres mailing list, so I figured I'd post their news since they have been really busy the last few months. All of the stuff below can be picked up at the Eux Autres website. HHBTM will have the 10" and christmas 7" in stock shortly though.

*We’re very excited to bring you the latest in Eux Autres Eux-mas madness! Our new 7″ Another Christmas At Home will hit the streets on November 24, but you can order yours now. There are only 250 copies of available, so be sure to get one early. This is the first time our Christmas song will be available on vinyl, and we’re throwing in our version of Slade’s classic
“Merry Xmas Everybody” (previously only available on the out of print CD from 2006), as well as a brand new cover of The Jacobites’ “Teenage Christmas" on the b-side. The single is pressed on beautiful red vinyl, and the silkscreened sleeves were created by Nicholas. To sweeten the deal, the first 25 pre-orders receive a very special Eux-mas gift–custom Lego band
members. Who doesn’t love lego people? With each 7″, you get little toy figures of Heather & Nicholas (sorry, no Yoshi figure. He didn’t play on this record and was being shy about becoming a Lego man. Maybe next year).*

The single is streaming at euxautres.bandcamp.com

*NEW T-SHIRT FOR SALE:* We've got a new t-shirt for sale on our website. Quantities are limited.

*HELL IS EUX AUTRES CD BACK IN STOCK:* We thought this was out of print for the last six months or so, but we found a box hidden away at Eux Autres World Headquarters, so they're available again on the website.

The Lovely Eggs have been super busy after their US Tour with Cars Can Be Blue this past September. They have a new spooky movie they made for Artrocker.tv (follow the link). They have a video for their new single based around Twin Peaks “Haunt Me Out” out now on Cherryade Records. [watch the artrocker.tv film before the new video]. The single is limited to 100 copies and comes decorated like one of Agent Cooper’s favorite donuts and the single even comes with a Laura Palmer half heart necklace. If you miss the single you can download via itunes. The single features a cover of the Daniel Johnston & Jad Fair classic “It’s Spooky”, and another original titled “Wrappin in Plastic”.

Sourpatch

Currently at the pressing plant is the debut album "Crushin'" by Sourpatch which will come out in January 2010 on both CD and LP. To celebrate this fun little pop record we are doing a pre-order like always and a contest. The pre-order will start on Monday November 9th. The pre-order will consist of either the CD or LP and the bonus goodies will include a silkscreen Sourpatch tote bag, a button, and a CD-R EP. We will choose a random name from the pre-order and this person will receive a mix tape from the band, a 3 color poster, postcards, stickers, a letter, and a phone call on their birthday. I'd get in on the pre-order early as the Bunnygrunt and Afternoon Naps ones didn't last long. The Sourpatch CD will ship in mid-December while the LP will ship in early January.

Eyeballs

I just realized that I never posted about the first Cars Can Be Blue video Eyeballs. Becky and Nate are currently working on writing a new album, and I'm working on getting them work visas so they can finally go over to the UK and tour. Also All the Stuff We Do will be back in print on vinyl in early 2010.

Little King

Casper & the Cookies finally have a video from their Modern Silence album for the song Little King. It's all Scooby Doo meets Popfest. To celebrate the amazing work by Frederick Arnold the video animator Casper and company have decided to put their double LP on sale for the month of November. You can get the album from their website with the sale price of just $15 bucks + postage which isn't bad for a double lp on 180 gram vinyl with a gatefold sleeve.

No What?

Ryan from the Lolligags sent this over to Leslie which then let me see this VIDEO. I'm not much of a hip-hop fan, but this new trend really makes me feel a bit ill. So for all you folks that like Jay-Z, Lil' Wayne, Kanye West and such just know what you are listening to.

Bunnygrunt Dolls

After much waiting, everyone who pre-ordered Bunnygrunt dolls should have them on the way or have received them by now. I can't believe I made as many of these as I did. I have three extra sets left over. So if you want a full set it's $30.00, it's first come first serve on these so hit me up at mike [at] hhbtm dot com to reserve your set. Also for all those who have been waiting forever and a day the Afternoon Naps LPs are in, and will be shipped out Tuesday afternoon. I still have a few pillowcases left, so get them while you can.

Senior Coasting Times

It's been a pretty busy couple of weeks for Marshmallow Coast and HHBTM. In the next few weeks you'll be able to download "Seniors & Juniors", "Coasting + bonus tracks", and "Times Square + bonus tracks" from Itunes, Emusic, or your favorite download service. Andy is also in the middle of recording "Super Seniors & Juniors" which is a re-recording and updating of the album that many consider to be his best. This time around it's going to feature lots of guests, and will sound a bit more like Andy's newest album "Phreak Phantasy". This record will be on CD/LP in mid-2010. After that we'll start issuing all the older Marshmallow Coast catalog on vinyl. If you can't wait for your next Marshmallow Coast fix you can always go check out his recent interview on the Mad About Town podcast.
